Got the chance to help out with creating (I volunteered )some page layouts for student university magazine QUTE. Its was a good chance to final use my  graphic design skills boy I felt really rusty special when using Indesign. In the end it all come together very well. So go pick up a copy it's free from around the QUT university. 

Stuck in a box

Missed the submission

Bugger.. missed the submission date to enter my illustrations. Spent way to much time on the idea stage and not on completing something. 

This is it I swear

So this is it no more changing my mind. So the idea is to have a hand shooting out laser from it finger tips like its creating the shoe but the hand laser a drawing their energy from the cool a top the hand. I thinks it sound crazy so that a good start but it will look awesome.

Nike Warrior

Stayed true to my idea of a Nike Warrior. The top is my main focus because of the read to fight pose just wanted to see what the triangle guy would look like next to the smoke creature. Still have to add the background,type us well us fixing up any tiny error along the way.

More Nike Air Max 90 Competition Work

After a fair drawing and a bus trip I gave up on the idea of have a statue with a person reading the about being your own revolution mostly because it looked dull. Still liking the warrior setting on the chair looking at something biggest problem was the sitting "why the hell is he sitting he's a warrior !" easy fix just have him standing.

Now the tricky part adding the detail and making sure the shoes look cool.

Lost and Confused

The final version of my lost and confused illustration. Decided to drop the tattoo's because taking away from the type and making the whole piece to busy to look at. I had the all seeing eye in one of my rough drawings from awhile back think it helped balance out the rest of the illustration by giving your eye away of following the drawings composition.

Got myself some a brand new project

I love video games and have always wanted to do some kind of illustration about video games.

Rose Coloured Hill Illustration

Seem the guys at Micheal Anderson have like what I have been doing and asked if I would do an illustration for there other song Rose Coloured Hill. First few drawings had a bit too much of a fantasy element to them so toned the idea back want to keep it simply sticking to just reds, pinks and some purples for the colours. Having just the one element of the woman folding the rose I thinks sums up the songs without have to add more piece to get the same idea across.

Whats with the teen wolf thing ?

I tried something a bit different when designing the cover for Michael Anderson so this time went with just throwing anything and everything I wanted down. Limiting my colour choice was a smart move and it was great to bring some of my creature things into thing piece.

Texture Mash up

A half days worth of work just in playing around with textures for the background. I prefer the off white background it lets the work have space were the pale green texture over powers the illustration. The men in the fire add another element to the piece plus the guy at the right end look like the fire is eating him away.

Betralay Illustration

This idea has certainly change a lot since my first sketches it still retains that darker theme but at the sometime has that vivid colour scheme which seem to become a thing of mine. Original the fire was going to be a big shadow but that was working of me I like how the fire fills in the gaps of the characters body plus he has awesome brave heart battle paint under his right eye. Next steps will be to draw the eyes and add some text some where and think of away to improve the background cause it rather dull at the moment.
